Fantasyland opened with the Magic Kingdom on
October 1, 1971.
The opening day attractions for Fantasyland were Mr.
Toad's Wild Ride, the Mickey Mouse Revue, Skyway,
Snow White's Scary Adventure, Dumbo the Flying
Elephant, Cinderella's Golden Carousel, Mad Tea
Party, and "it's a small world." Peter Pan's Flight
would go on to open a few days later.
The current attractions for Fantasyland are Peter
Pan's Flight, "it's a small world," Mickey's
PhilharMagic, Prince |
Charming's Regal Carousel, Dumbo the
Flying Elephant, Snow White's Scary
Adventure, The Many Adventures of
Winnie the Pooh, The Mad Tea Party,
and Story time with Belle.
Fantasyland is scheduled to double
in size with opening dates for new
attractions, restaurants and more in
2012 and 2013.
Fun Facts: Although
you can see Cinderella Castle from
practically everywhere in the park,
the Castle is considered part of
Fantasyland.
Touring Tips: Fantasyland is busy
throughout the majority of the day,
so make sure you grab your Fastpass
to Peter Pan's Flight whenever you
get a chance!
This area of the park slows down
later in the day so try to visit
after all the younger guests have
gone back to their resorts for the
night.

Reader Review:
I chose to review Fantasyland which is the happiest
Kingdom of them all! I like that when you enter
Fantasyland you become a kid again. There's so much
magic! Fantasyland has some stuff I wish they would
bring to Disneyland, like Mickey's PhilharMagic. That is
and amazing 3D show!
I like that you can see Cinderella Castle all the way at
the entrance from outside on the lagoon unlike Sleeping
Beauty Castle at Disneyland. Once you get in the park,
you still can't see it and have to cross under the
tunnels and walk to a certain spot where the castle pops
out of nowhere. You cannot see the Castle from anywhere
in the park except on Main Street and about two steps
into Fantasyland. Cinderella Castle is so much bigger
that I like it!
Dream Along with Mickey is another show I like. It's a
cool show done with Mickey and Minnie and their friends.
I thought the show was so cool I still watch it on
youtube when I get bored. I have to talk about "it's a
small world." It's a little different watching it in
Disney World when I'm used to the one in Disneyland. I
noticed that you board inside a building instead of
outside like in Disneyland.
Another thing I thought about Disney World's Fantasyland
was how it's set up where you can see Cinderella Castle
from anywhere. I love the tour Brent gave us on
Youtube of the Cinderella Castle Suite. It looks
cool and the glass slipper was tight!
