Pixar Place opened in 2008 with the extremely popular
attraction, Toy Story Midway Mania.
This area of the park is designed to look like the actual
Pixar Studios in Emeryville, California. In addition to Toy
Story Midway Mania, there is also an area where guests can
meet Buzz and Woody, and at one point Luxo Jr. (the bouncing
lamp at the start of all Pixar films) would come out and
dance to music.
There have often been rumors of Pixar Place expanding, but
so far nothing has actually come of these rumors.
Fun Facts: While walking around Pixar Place
you can find several monkeys from the popular Barrel of
Monkeys holding hands. Amazingly enough, there is only one
spot throughout Pixar Place where you can find two monkeys
that are the exact same color holding hands. All the other
monkeys holding hands are different colors. (Tip: You can
actually see the two monkeys I am referring to in the
picture at the top of this page!)
Touring Tips: Try to get to the park when
it opens and head straight on over to Toy Story Midway
Mania. This is one of the most popular attractions
throughout the Walt Disney World Resort and the Fastpasses
run out within a couple hours of the park being open!
