Casey Jr. Splash N Soak Station

Return to Fantasyland Attractions

The Story: The circus has come to town and what better way for it to arrive than by Casey Jr. himself, the little engine that thought he could in the 1941 classic, Dumbo! While the majority of Storybook Circus has been set up, Casey Jr. finds himself at the switch track station with some extra time on his hands. With a little encouragement from the animals in his train cars, the group decides to entertain circus goers by cooling them off by splashing water at them! Not a bad life at all for this circus train!

Height Restriction: None
Attraction Length: N/A
Fastpass? None

The History: Back when the Fantasyland Expansion was announced in 2009, the plans for Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station were not present. In fact, if you look at the area during the first renditions (like in the picture below) it appears that only Dumbo and The Great Goofini would be present in the Storybook Circus portion of Fantasyland while the area where Casey Jr. sits now would be home to Pixie Hollow.

New Fantasyland original plans

Luckily for Casey Jr., fans began to point out that there needed to be more male centric portions of the Fantasyland Expansion. Several of the plans were changed and the Storybook Circus plans nearly doubled in size and with the changes, Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station made it to the drawing board!

Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station opened on June 15, 2012!

Fun Facts: Each of the four train cars are after the years the four parks in Walt Disney World opened: 71, 82, 89, and 98!

Location: Fantasyland - Storybook Circus

Touring Tips: The attraction's business all depends on the weather. When it's hot, it's busy. When it's cool, not so much. Please make sure you realize that the name of the attraction tells a very true statement: you will get soaked!
