Frozen Review
In 2009 there was a lot of hype about Disney's
newest film, The Princess and the Frog. While
the film didn't meet my expectations, the years
that followed have truly showed that Disney
still can make amazing films that can sit on a
shelf next to Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan,
or even Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
While Tangled brought back a princess storyline and fun music,
Wreck-It Ralph brought us humor, amazing characters, and amazing
heart! Frozen, released today, combines what its predecessors
did and, along with Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph, has shown that
Disney animation is truly in full stride again as a leader in
entertainment.

Frozen, based off of Hans Christian Anderson's Snow Queen,
follows the story of two sisters, Anna and Elsa. While the two
use Elsa's powers to create snow in their youth, an unfortunate
accident leads to Anna forgetting her sister's powers exist and
the two sisters begin to live different lives while under the
same roof.
When Elsa has her coronation to become the new queen, Anna
angers her with news of her love interest and accidently turns
the entire kingdom into a giant icicle. It is then up to Anna to
bring warmth back to the kingdom. Can she do it?

While the storyline in the film is great, the characters and
music within the film truly steal the show. Whether it is Olaf
the snowman singing about how he is unsure what snowmen do
during Summer or Anna and Hans singing about how the finish each
other's....sandwiches, the music in the film does exactly what
the music in Beauty and the Beast did. It shares information
about the character while also moving the story along.
If you have had any hesitation about seeing the film, rest at
ease that Disney has once again knocked the ball out of the park
with a film you are sure to love!
