Fun Find Friday
June 17, 2011
Location: Dinoland, USA, Disney's Animal Kingdom
I told you back on April 22nd that our story in
Dinoland, USA was just beginning. This area has so much detail and
story going on it's incredible. Today we'll be making a quick pit
stop at gas station turned souvenir shop run by Chester and Hester.

During our last trip through this area I pointed out
Chester and Hester have several fun finds up their sleeves for us,
but before we get into that, let's do a little back story on this
couple. Chester and Hester were your typical married couple. Happily
married couple with rhyming names just trying to figure out how to
make a living in this crazy world.
Well, luckily for them, Diggs County, the area we
are in, found dinosaur bones back in 1947! Well hot diggity! The
quiet couple that ran the local gas station saw the potential to
sell the tackiest things imaginable in order to make a living. They
knew all tourists coming to the area would respond well to anything
and everything related to dinosaurs and one of their greatest
sellers was fossil foam!
What was fossil foam? It seems to be some sort of
anti-itching cream. Of course, they knew they'd have to make an
advertisement for their money maker and they saw the front porch as
the perfect location. There they put up the following sign (which
they tied into the dinosaur theme):

Rough Scaly Skin Making You Groan? Don't Despair! Use Fossil
Foam!
Our Fun Find Friday doesn't end here however. In
fact, the greatest find here requires a question for all the readers
out there. When you think of Florida, what is the one place you
think of? There's the obvious: Walt Disney World, Magic Kingdom,
Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Of course some people who stumbled across this page
may say things that don't seem to make as much sense like the Space
Center, the ocean, Grandma and Grandpa's winter home, those other
places with attractions, or the set of the W.E.D.nesday Show (I
guess that would be more obvious)!
However, there is one place that Chester and Hester
believe you should be sure to visit. What is it? Well, take a walk
to the other side of the porch and look at the other side of the
Fossil Foam advertisement to find the following sign written on the
back side:

When in Florida be sure to visit EPCOT
So there you have it! When in Florida you should be
sure to visit EPCOT! And if you need to get rid of that rough scaly
skin, make sure you visit this extremely tacky gift shop for Fossil
Foam and other great fun finds! You know we'll be visiting it in the
future for some of both!
