Location: Adventureland, Disneyland
It hasn't been too long since
Disney acquired Lucasfilm. Along with the Star
Wars saga, most people tend to overlook the
other Lucasfilm legacy that also came with the
purchase: Indiana Jones! Disneyland has had an
attraction based around Indiana Jones, Indiana
Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye,
since 1995.
Much like Disney, Lucasfilm has always done a great
job of referencing other films in its canon in subtle ways. This is
also true for the attraction temple of the Forbidden Eye. While
passing through all the traps and gizmos of the line you will enter
a room featuring a film strip explaining the storyline behind the
attraction and how to buckle your seatbelts. Just after exiting this
room you will see a small room with few crates out front. Take a
look at the crate on the far left to find the following image:

The instructions are to deliver this to Club Obi
Wan. While you may initially think this is a obvious reference to
Obi-Wan Kenobi from the Star Wars saga, you'd be partially right. In
actuality, the name of the club at the start of Indiana Jones and
the Temple of Doom was called Club Obi Wan, which in turn referenced
the famous Jedi. So the picture above is in fact a reference to a
movie of a reference to another movie! Confused? Good!
