Hot dogs, baseball, and Disney. These are considered
by many to be some of the most American things ever. So naturally,
while walking around the Magic Kingdom you can see Disney proudly
flying the stars and stripes up and down Main Street, USA, Liberty
Square, and Frontierland. However, the American Flag isn't the only
country flag flown in the Magic Kingdom.
Sure, over in Fantasyland you have some flags which
appear to belong to other countries, but in reality were created
specifically for the storyline that is occurring in the area. Let's
head over to Adventureland to go find our flag!

Back in 1960, Disney created one of their most
engaging life action films of all time, Swiss Family Robinson. The
story? A family moving to a new country becomes shipwrecked on an
island. Using the material from the damaged boat and on the island,
they create a treehouse on the island. Here they have several
adventures with pirates, animals, and a whole lot more. However, the
key word in this entire paragraph is in the name of the film. They
were in fact Swiss.
So after the family collected the debris from their
wreckage, they knew that they had to show off their heritage by
flying the flag above the entrance to their new home. So next time
you are in Adventureland, take a look at the only country flag in
the Magic Kingdom that doesn't belong to the United States of
America:
