Tom Sawyer Island is full of
hidden treasures that pay tribute to the 1876
classic novel, "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer."
In the book, Tom has a crush on his classmate,
and daughter of the judge, Becky Thatcher.
Despite Becky finding out that Tom used to be an
item with Amy Lawrence, Becky still loves Tom
and the two become engaged. Well, as engaged as
two kids can be.
There are a few references to Becky found at Magic
Kingdom's Tom Sawyer Island, She has a raft named after her and also
has her named whitewashed on a fence that faces Liberty Square, but
the final reference is a little more obscure.
If you head to the highest point of the island, you
can find a play area which is designed to look like a pirate ship
(Tom, Huckleberry Finn, and the rest of his friends attempted to be
pirates at one point). Facing towards the boat dock, you will be
able to find a steering wheel and a ship bell:

If you take a look on the pole that holds the wheel
and mast, you can see a carving on it that is very subtle, but also
gives Becky Thatcher one more honorable mention on Tom Sawyer
Island:

Tom + Becky
