Hidden Mickey Monday
August 29, 2011
Location: World Showcase, Epcot
Many queue's at Walt Disney World as full of
intricate details and backstory and lots of hidden secrets. The
Maelstrom queue in the Norway Pavilion may not have the most
elaborate detail, but it does have a beautiful mural on the wall of
the loading dock. Depicting many of Norway's landscapes and people,
the mural brings the queue to life. Of course, no painting at Disney
World would be complete without a touch of Mickey. The Viking ship
on the left side of the mural is crowded with many Vikings off to
sail the seas. One Viking in the middle of the ship seemed to have
taken a detour to visit a famous mouse as he is wearing a pair of
Mickey ears! The paintings of the Vikings on the ship are quite
small but it is possible to see the Hidden Mickey from many points
in the queue. Those who seek this Hidden Mickey face peril and
adventure, but more often find beauty and charm (at least that's
what I've been told).
