Disney Cruise Line has something unique that most
other cruise lines do not. A private island, Castaway Cay, that the
cruise ships can dock at! With most other cruise lines you need to
take a tender boat to get onto the island, with Disney you dock
right at the island and can walk right on and off as you please.

Castaway Cay is one of my favorite places to visit
and I look forward to visiting this island every single time I take
a Disney cruise. It is like paradise on Earth. It's so relaxing and
I love getting away from the hustle and bustle of life and just
relaxing in the sun, snorkeling and floating in an inner tube in the
crystal blue water.

The island has a lot of hidden things to explore
from Hidden Mickey's and subs underwater to a lookout tower that you
can see for miles away, a floating platform with water slides, and a
kids splash area. There are hammocks and beach chairs that line the
beaches. You can rent a bike and pedal around the island to explore
all the details. You can ride a tram throughout the island and parts
of the tram go onto the old runway. Recently they added Cabanas that
can be rented for the day.

You can also find food throughout the island at
Cookies BBQ and at Serenity Bay. There are also many bars scattered
throughout the area.

I love going to Castaway Cay. There is so much you
can do, so many details to see, or, you can just curl up in a
hammock and take a nap.
