In the early morning hours of May 7th, Disney Cast
Members were hard at work transforming Disneyland Park for the
"Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides" premiere. The outside
edge of Main Street was lined with barriers and bleachers for eager
fans to wait behind in hopes of getting a glimpse of the stars of
this fantastic film. There were signs and posters up all around the
park to promote the event. At the start of Main Street, there was an
enormous archway announcing the World Premiere of the film. Main
Street itself was covered with a black carpet for celebrities and
some lucky fans who scored tickets to make their way down. The
energy was amazing.

Around 5:30 PM the celebrities began arriving. It
was a media frenzy to capture pictures of the stars coming down the
carpet. The cast of "Dancing with the Stars" were some of the first
to arrive, followed by several of the Disney Channel stars like
Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Kyle Massey, and Mitchel Musso to
name a few. Also in attendance were Martin Short, Teri Hatcher, Eva
Longoria, Lisa Rinna, and Harry Hamlin. Fans cheered and yelled for
the stars to take pictures and sign autographs.

At about 7:30 PM the carpet began to get very
crowded and loud. Even more stars were coming now. Steven Tyler took
to the carpet at a very fast pace, followed by Keith Richard, and
then Ian McShane, Director Rob Marshall, Penelope Cruz, and even
Disney President Bob Iger. The stars took time out to greet the
fans, sign autographs, and take pictures. Some even gave interviews
to the media.

Finally at 8:00 PM the man of the hour arrived: none
other than Jack Sparrow himself, Johnny Depp! The crowd went crazy.
Fans were screaming his name as he made his way down the carpet.

Once all the stars had made their way down the
carpet into Frontierland, the fun didn't stop. The outdoor theater
was amazing. The screen was enormous, the seats were very
comfortable. We were given some high tech 3D glasses and each seat
had a blanket to help keep us warm. Snacks were provided during the
movie. We had cookies, popcorn, soda, water, and even some Pirate
Booty to munch on during the film.

The film was great. It had an easy to follow plot,
amazing fight scenes, and of course of that Jack Sparrow charm, wit,
and humor.

The whole night was magical from start to finish and
was a real dream come true.
