Baloo

Baloo is the wonderful, larger then life character
from Walt Disney's 1967 film 'The Jungle Book.' He can also be found
in other films such as 'Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the
House of Mouse,' 'The Jungle Book 2,' and he even has a cameo in
'The Lion King 1 '.' In TV shows he can be found in 'Jungle Cubs,'
'House of Mouse,' and in one of my personal favorites from the
Disney Afternoon, 'TaleSpin.' He can also be found in a few
different video games such as Disney Universe, The Jungle Book,
Kinect Disneyland Adventures, The Jungle Book Groove Party, and
TaleSpin. Finally he can be found in various merchandise such as
pins, books, vinylmations, toys, and clothing.
During the films he lives in the Jungle, but
during TaleSpin he lives in the town of Cape Suzette. He has many
friends that help him along the way such as King Louie, Kit
Cloudkicker, Mowgli, Colonel Hathi, Shanti, Bagheera, Ranjan, the
Cunningham's, and Sergeant Dunder to name a few. His enemies include
Don Karnage, Shere Khan, Colonel Spigot, and Kaa.

Baloo is an overweight sloth bear, during the
films he has no outfits just his normal blueish gray fur. But in
TaleSpin he has quite a few different costumes he wears, most
notably his maroon flight hat, and his yellow shirt. Baloo is really
a parental figure in both The Jungle Book and TaleSpin. In the
Jungle Book he becomes a father figure to Mowgli while in TaleSpin
he is a father figure to Kit Cloudkicker who calls Baloo 'Papa Bear'
and he calls Kit 'Little Britches.'
He has been voiced by quite a few people over the
years such as Phil Harris, John Goodman, Ed Gilbert, Joel McCrary,
Steve Curtis, and Pamela Segall.

Baloo can be found in Disney parks around the
world, but most notably in Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade, Fantasmic!,
Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade, Mickey Mouse Revue, Disney Stars and
Motorcars Parade, Celebrate a Dreams Come True Parade, and in some
versions of It's a Small World.
