Captain America
Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, is a superhero in the Marvel
group. He is the first Avenger. Some of you may be thinking,
"Why is Erik doing a Marvel character in his Who's Who article?"
Well, that's because in The Walt Disney Company purchased Marvel
Entertainment in 2009. Plus, I also love comic books. The
stories and characters are amazing.
Captain America's first appearance came in 1941. He has been in
over 700 comic books, cartoons, movies, video games, and other
merchandise. There is going to be a new comic book based on him
coming out this year, and on July 22nd Captain America hit the
big screen with a brand new movie which was fantastic.

Steve Rogers was a twig and was out of shape He was rejected by
the military a number of times when trying to enlist. That all
changed after meeting Abraham Erskine, aka Dr. Josef Reinstein.
Erskine created a super-soldier serum that was meant to create
the perfect soldier. Rogers was picked to take part in the first
test of the super-soldier serum, and it turned him into the
perfect soldier. The serum made him strong and fast and enhanced
all of his abilities.
Steve Rogers is from New York, born and raised. His father died
when Steve was very young, and his mother died when he was a
teenager. His best friend is James 'Bucky' Barnes. Some of the
allies on his side are Nick Fury, Falcon, Ant-Man, Maria Hill,
Hawkeye, Incredible Hulk, Thor, Wasp, Wolverine, Spider-Man,
Iron Man, and many others. He has also had a lot of enemies with
his largest rival being Red Skull and his terrorist group Hydra.
Captain America also had a few love interests during his stories
including Peggy Carter, Sharon Carter, Gail Richards, and Bernie
Rosenthal.
Captain America has had a few different outfits with similar
looks. His outfits are red, white, and blue. He has an "A" on
his hooded mask, a star on his chest, white winged ears, red and
white strips around his stomach and back. He also has red
gloves, with red boots, and his most known accessory is his
shield which is made of vibranium metal that is
indestructible and one of a kind.
Captain America was created by Jack Kirby and Joe Simon. He is
played by Chris Evans in the new film.
Captain America isn't in Disney parks yet. I'm hoping they will
create attractions based on Marvel comics and incorporate the
Marvel characters in the parks in the future. I guess only time
will tell how they will bring the characters in the parks around
the world.
