Dick Tracy

Dick Tracy is the hard nosed Police Investigator
from the 1990 Touchstone/Disney film, 'Dick Tracy.' He can also be
found in the films 'Dick Tracy, Detective,' 'Dick Tracy Returns,'
Dick Tracy's G-Men,' 'Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome,' 'Dick Tracy vs.
Crime Inc.,' 'Dick Tracy vs. Cueball,' and 'Dick Tracy's Dilemma.'
In television shows he can be found in 'The Dick Tracy Show' and
'The Dick Tracy series.' He can also be seen in the video games such
as Dick Tracy (NES, Sega Genesis, and Game Boy) and in Dick Tracy:
The Crime Solving Adventure for the computer. Finally in other
merchandise he can be seen in comic books (most popular among
people), pins, toys, clothing, and Disney art.
He lives in a place called 'The City' which most
people feel is Chicago. The people he can count on the most are Tess
Trueheart, Mike, Lizz Grove, Diet Smith, Dick Tracy Jr, Sam Catchem,
Pat Patton, Chief Brandon, and enemy turned friend Breathless
Mahoney. His enemies include Mumbles, 88 Keys, Big Boy Caprice,
Itchy, Flattop Jones, B.B. Eyes, Chin Chillar, Flyface, Heels Beals,
Littleface Finny, Measles Enog, The Mole, Pruneface, and Steve 'The
Tramp' Brogan to name a few.
*FUN FACT* Episodes of Dick Tracy w ere
extremely popular on the radio from 1934-1948. They ran between 15
and 30 minutes.
Dick Tracy has black hair, blue eyes, and is
average height. He wears black pants, a black vest, black shoes, a
white shirt, a red/black tie, a long yellow trench coat, and a
yellow and black fedora. He is extremely brave, courageous, and
intelligent.

He has been voiced and played by many people over
the years such as Ned Wever, Barry Thomson, Matt Crowley, Warren
Beatty, Ralph Byrd, Ray MacDonnell, and Everett Sloane.
Dick Tracy cannot be found in Disney parks
anymore. He used to have a show at MGM Studios called 'Dick Tracy
Starring in Diamond Double Cross'. Another attraction called 'Dick
Tracy's Crime-Stoppers' was going to take place in Disney's
Hollywood Studios but due to the lackluster box office of the 1990
Dick Tracy film, it never came to be.
