Gladstone Gander

Gladstone Gander

Gladstone Gander is from the wonderful world created by Carl Barks. He can be found in the deleted scenes of the short film "Sport Goofy in Soccermania." He can also be found in the television show "DuckTales" (both versions), and "House of Mouse." In video games he can be found in Donald Duck: Goin' Qu@ckers! He made his first appearance in the Donald Duck comic Wintertime Wager which was released in January, 1948. In other merchandise he can be found in toys, books, clothing, pins, vinylmations, and Disney art.

He and Donald Duck have a very competitive rivalry considering they are cousins since whatever Gladstone touches seems to turn to gold, he is the luckiest duck in the world. He lives in Duckburg, from the extremely famous Duck family. People he can count on when needed are Scrooge McDuck, Donald Duck, Daisy duck, and Gyro Gearloose to name a few. His enemies include Merlock, Pete, Magica De Spell, Toad Liu Hai, and Beagle Boys.

Gladstone Gander

Gladstone has had a red and green theme over the years. He has curly blonde or curly white hair, white feathers, a yellow bill, and yellow duck feet with red spats. He is most often seen wearing a red bow tie, red or green sport coat, yellow undercoat, and a red or green fedora. He is extremely carefree because he knows every situation with turn out in his favor, arrogant, and quite lazy.

He was created by Carl Barks. He has been voiced by quite a few people over the years such as Corey Burton, Will Ryan, Rob Paulsen, and Paul F. Tompkins.

Gladstone Gander

Gladstone isn't found in the parks as a meet and greet character. He hasn't been seen since Donald Duck's 50th birthday parade and he appeared with Ludwig Von Drake, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, Scrooge McDuck, and Grandma Duck. I say this on a daily basis, but Disney really needs an area dedicated to the Disney Afternoon characters, and extremely rare characters. I truly believe people would buy that merchandise and line up in droves to see the characters.
