The Incredible Hulk

Bruce Banner/Hulk is a remarkably intelligent scientist. His first appearance was in the comic book 'Incredible Hulk' which was released in May, 1962. He has been a staple in the Marvel universe since debuting and has gone on to have his own comic books, crossover comic books, movies, TV shows, toys, clothing, and other merchandise. In movies he can be seen in 'Ultimate Avengers,' 'Ultimate Avengers 2,' 'Planet Hulk,' 'Hulk vs. Thor,' 'Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow,' 'Hulk vs. Wolverine,' 'Hulk' 2003), 'The Incredible Hulk' (1977), 'The Incredible Hulk' (2008), and opening May 4th, 2012 'The Avengers.' In TV shows he can be seen in "The Superhero Squad Show," 'The Incredible Hulk' which was live action and also animation over the years. Also 'The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes' which is on Disney XD with season two starting April 1st, 2012. He can also be found in multiple 'The Incredible Hulk' video games.

He is from Dayton, Ohio. He has many relatives a lot of them who are deceased, most notably Brain Banner (father), Rebecca Banner (mother), Betty Ross-Banner (ex-wife and true love), Thaddeus 'Thunderbolt' Ross (ex-father in law), and he also has three children (two sons and one daughter). He has many allies but most notably The Avengers and the Fantastic Four. His enemies include his biggest rival, Abomination, along with Dr. Doom, Loki, General Thunderbolt Ross, and sometimes his close friends and allies.

Bruce/Hulk specializes in nuclear physics, and after graduating from California Institute of Technology he got a job working for the United States Defense Department, working in New Mexico. Bruce was working on the gamma bomb project and during a testing of the gamma bomb, Bruce ran to save a civilian named Rick Jones. He got him to safety but the bomb went off before he took cover and was infused with radiation and that was the beginning of The Incredible Hulk. Hulk is the strongest of any Marvel character ever created. In World War Hulk, Hulk seeks revenge against anyone and everyone for being exiled to Plant Sakaar. He literally goes to war with all superheroes.

*FUN FACT* Lou Ferrigno, who was the Hulk in the original 1977 TV series, provides the voice for Hulk in all movies and animated features/TV shows.

He was created by the Marvel founder and genius Stan Lee, and Jack Kirby. Comic book writers are in my opinion the best writers, because the stories of superheroes and villains are second to none. Characters can be around for 40 years and they still don't run out of story to tell. To date Hulk can be found in over 1,000 different comic books.

Bruce Banner/Hulk can't be found in Disney theme parks at this point. With Disney purchasing Marvel, hopefully Disney will incorporate the wonderful characters into the parks in the future. In the mean time I highly recommend for people to check out comic books, they open up a world of fantastic characters and story lines. Who knows you might even get hooked on them.
