Jack
Skellington

Jack Skellington aka 'The Pumpkin King' is the lead character
from the wildly popular 1993 film,
'The Nightmare Before Christmas.' Jack can also be found in
video games such as The Nightmare Before Christmas: Oogie's
Revenge, the Kingdom Hearts series, Meteos: Disney Magic, and
The Nightmare Before Christmas: The Pumpkin King. Jack also pops
up in other Tim Burton directed films, as well as cameos in
other Disney films. He can also be found in comic books and the
extremely popular 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' clothes, toys
and other merchandise.
Jack can be found in Halloween Town, where he lives with his dog
Zero, who is a ghost, and his wife Sally. Jack has many allies:
his Kingdom Hearts friends, Santa Claus, Dr. Finkelstein, and
the Mayor of Halloween Town. His enemies are Lock, Shock, and
Barrel with his main arch nemesis being Oogie Boogie. Jack is a
very curious character, he is very kind but at the same time you
don't want to make him mad.
Jack is a very thin skeleton, he had two outfits in the film. He
wears a Santa Claus suit when he wants to bring Christmas to
Halloween Town, but he is famous for his bat bow-tie to go along
with his black and white pinstriped tuxedo.
Jack is voiced by Chris Sarandon, and Danny Elfman during the
singing scenes. Jack was created by Tim Burton. The film uses
stop-motion which Tim Burton made famous. During the D23 Expo
this year we learned that on a good days work on a stop-motion
film, they can create a maximum of 2 seconds of footage for the
film.
*FUN FACT* Blink 182 did a song called 'I Miss You' and during
it they talk about Jack Skellington and Sally. If you own the
song you can hear it at the 42 second mark.
Jack can be found in Walt Disney World and Disneyland. In Walt
Disney World he can be seen as a meet and greet character during
Halloween time. At Disneyland he is featured in the Haunted
Mansion Holiday, the attraction has a completely different
storyline and consists of all of the characters from 'The
Nightmare Before Christmas' film.
