Who's Who? Wednesday

June 18, 2014

Kaa is the snake from the 1967 Walt Disney animated film, 'The Jungle Book.' He can also be found in the films 'Mickey's House of Villains,' 'The Jungle Book 2,' 'Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse,' and Rudyard Kipling's 'The Jungle Book.' In television shows he can be seen in 'House of Mouse' and 'Jungle Cubs.' He can also be found in video games such as Disney Universe, The Jungle Book, and The Jungle Book Groove Party. Finally in other merchandise he can be found in toys, books, pins, vinylmations, clothing, and Disney art.

He lives in the Jungle and his friends include Shere Khan and the rest of the evil Disney villains. His enemies include Mowgli, Baloo, Colonel Hathi, Bagheera, King Louie, and the rest of the good Disney characters.

Kaa is a python who is extremely long. He has dark green and brown skin and also has large yellow eyes. He is a coward for the most part, but he also has the ability to hypnotize animals and people. He is extremely vile and smart.

He was animated by Milt Kahl and Frank Thomas. He was voiced by a few people over the years such as Jim Cummings, Sterling Holloway, and Hal Smith.

Kaa can be found in Disney parks around the world in reference form mostly. He can be found in Fantasmic! and the old Mickey Mouse Revue. I also remember seeing him a few different Disney on Ice shows back in the day. He is a very underrated character so he really doesn't get the love in Disney parks.
