The Orange Bird is a theme park only character
that could be found in ads about Florida Oranges back in the day. He
disappeared for quite some time until Disney brought him back in a
big way a few years ago. He can be found in various merchandise,
such as clothing, pins, toys, kitchen ware, books, computer cases,
Disney art, vinylmations, and a few other types of merchandise.
The Orange Bird was unlike any mascot at the time.
He is very bright and colorful. The Florida Citrus Commission came
to Disney and wanted them to create a mascot to use in their ads and
various other projects that they had planned.

The Orange Bird is orange, yellow, and green. His
head is shaped like an orange while his wings are shaped like leafs.
He can't talk so he uses thought clouds as his means of
communication.
The Orange Bird can be found in Disney parks
around the world. He used to be a common meet and greet character,
but lately has been extremely rare to find. He can also be found at
the Sunshine Tree Terrace, and in reference form.

The Orange Bird song, which was penned by the
famous Sherman Brothers is one of my favorites:
Little Orange Bird, (Little Orange Bird), In the
Sunshine Tree. (in the Sunshine Tree.) Won't you think of something
sunny just for me?
Think of funny thoughts. (Think a funny thought.)
Or a sunny word. (Or a sunny word.) That will make me happy, little
Orange Bird.
He thinks beautiful orange pictures, and beautiful
orange words. Though his little beak, can't even peep a squeak. All
the thoughts he ever spoke, appear in orange smoke. That's what
makes the Orange Bird unique.
When you're just about green with envy, or gonna
be feeling blue, You can use a little orange thought or two. When
you start in blushing pink, or your temper turns you red. That's
when the Orange Bird can see you through.
With his beautiful orange feathers, and beautiful
leafy wings, He's a fluffy little puffy sight to see. He can turn
your frown around, when you see him looking down, The Orange Bird up
in the Sunshine Tree.

Sunshine Tree. (in the Sunshine Tree.) Won't you think of something
sunny just for me?
