Pocahontas

Pocahontas is the main character from
Walt Disney's Pocahontas and also
Walt Disney's Pocahontas 2: Journey to a New
World. Her name means little mischief, which
fits well because she is very adventurous.
She lives in the New World, or Jamestown as
it is called after the settlers came. She
meets John Smith and falls in love with him.
Pocahontas comes from a very proud and
powerful tribe. Her mother is deceased and
her father is Chief Powhatan. She also gets
guidance from Grandmother Willow. Her best
friends are Meeko (a raccoon) and Flit (a
hummingbird)while her best human friend is a
girl by the name of Nakoma.
Her style is authentic Native American. Her
outfit is leather, with extra leather
ruffles on it. She also has a tattoo on her
right arm that symbolizes her tribe. She
also wears a turquoise necklace that
belonged to her mother.
Pocahontas is voiced by
Irene Bedard and voiced by
Judy Kuhn while singing in the film.
Pocahontas can be found in the parks: she
does meet and greets at Rafiki's Planet
Watch, in Camp Minnie-Mickey at Disney's
Animal Kingdom, Princess Storybook
Breakfast at Epcot, and sometimes at the
Magic of Animation building. She is also in
Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios and in
World of Color at
Disney California Adventure. You can also find Flit,
Pocahontas and Meeko on It's a Small World
at
Hong Kong Disneyland. Pocahontas
is also in a show on
Disney Cruise Line, and she used to
have a show at Animal Kingdom which ended in
2008. She has also appeared on House of
Mouse.
