Frozen Ever After

The Story: It's time for the Summer Snow Day Celebration in honor of Princess Anna saving her sister Queen Elsa. All of the kingdom is welcome to join the celebration inside the Ice Palace!

Height Restriction: None
Attraction Length: Five Minutes
Fastpass+? Yes

The History: On June 3, 1988, the Norway Pavilion opened up in World Showcase becoming the 11th country to join World Showcase. In addition to the Stave Church, restaurants, and merchandise locations, Maelstrom would open up a month later on July 5th. The attraction took guests through the history of Norway while focusing on vikings, polar bears, trolls, and oil rigs.

In November of 2013, Frozen was released and became an immediate smash hit. While the film doesn't take place in Norway, the land of Arendelle was inspired by the European country. Due to the popularity of the film, it was decided in 2014 to close down Maelstrom and replace it with an attraction based off the hit film. Maelstrom closed down on October 5, 2014 to make way for the new attraction.

Frozen Ever After made its debut on June 21, 2016!

Fun Facts: Imagineers used the same track as Maelstrom while incorporating a new storyline to focus on. The new attraction begins and ends where guests used to debark during Maelstrom.

Location: Norway

Touring Tips: Due to the attraction being based off the hit film, guests should expect long waits ranging from one hour up until 6. A Fastpass is strongly advised!
