Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe

Return to Frontierland Dining

The Story: Yeeeeeee-ha! Welcome to Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe! Who is Pecos Bill?

Pecos Bill first joined the Disney family in the 1948 film, Melody Time. Bill, who was raised by wolves and would go on to change the face of Texas by making the Rio Grande, shooting all the stars out of the sky and turning it into the Lone Star State, and much much more. Meanwhile, Pecos Bill befriended a colt who he names Widowmaker. The two became the best of friends until a girl by the name of Slue Foot Sue stepped into the picture. Widowmaker, jealous of the new relationship, bucks Sue up into the sky until she eventually lands on the moon and him and Bill go back to their adventures in the old West.

While not shared in the film, Bill eventually opened up his own Inn and Cafe in the frontier and it became a huge hit among other Tall Tale legends! Soon enough, other people like, Paul Bunyan, Davy Crockett, Johnny Appleseed, and others were visiting the famous Inn and Cafe and Pecos Bill came up with a clever idea! He may as well invite these Tall Tale Legends over an in return for a free meal they leave something they are famous for (like Johnny Appleseed's pot) behind for regular visitors to see (kind of like a Planet Hollywood).

The Menu: Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe consists of burgers, salads and more. For full menu, click the link below:

Fun Facts: While parents order and pick up the food, there is an area to keep children occupied near the fireplace! Here you can find a giant Connect 4 board and, my favorite, The Coloring Corral!

While walking around the restaurant take a look around for memorabilia from famous Tall Tale Legends (read more about it over on Fun Find Friday):

Do you already know what you want and want to avoid a longer line? Pecos Bill actually has an express lane where guests who already know what they want can use a self service screen and pay through credit card or by room key!
