Pete's Silly Sideshow

Return to Fantasyland Attractions

The Story: The circus is in town and Pete, the oldest Disney character of them all, is playing the part of a barker! He has rounded up some of the greatest circus performers known to man and is inviting you to come meet them! The performers are live from the mysterious unknown The Astounding Donaldo, Charmer of all Beasts Dangerous, the broken bones record holder, The Great Goofini who is built for thrills (and has his own attraction across the way, The Barnstormer!), the siren of the seine, Minnie Magnifique and her piroueting Parisan poodles, and the wandering mystic Madame Daisy Fortuna seer of all fate and destinies.

So stop by and visit these four in their VIP area while they are taking breaks from their performances here at Storybook Circus!

Height Restriction: None
Attraction Length: N/A
Fastpass? None

The History: When The Fantasyland Expansion was announced back in 2009, the plans for Pete's Silly Sideshow weren't originally around. However, due to the fact that fans began to point out there needed to be more male centric attractions in the new area. With that, Pixie Hollow, the meet and greet area for Tinker Bell and friends, was taken off the drawing board, and an expansion of Storybook Circus with Pete's Silly Sideshow was added to the plans.

Pete's Silly Sideshow officially opened on October 4, 2012!

Fun Facts: The barker box in front of the attraction (pictured below) features references to a Disney short cartoon and film. Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom was the 1953 short cartoon that was also the first Disney CinemaScope short cartoon. Melody Time references the 1948 Disney package film entitled Melody Time!

Location: Fantasyland - Storybook Circus

Touring Tips: The attraction usually has shorter lines early in the morning or late at night. In the middle of the day expect more of a line, but if you really want to meet the characters, this is one of the best opportunities to do so.
