Who's Who? Wednesday

October 3, 2012

Duffy Bear is the cuddly stuff bear that children and even adults can't seem to get enough of. He can be found in quite a few videos in Japan and China. He can also be found in the video game Kinect Disneyland Adventures. In other merchandise he can be found in clothing, pins, pressed coins, trading cards, plates, cups, Mickey ears, plush dolls, Vinylmations, and in Disney books.

He lives in Cape Cod, where he has quite a few different jobs. He has many friends he can count on in the time of need such as Mickey, Goofy, Minnie, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Daisy, Donald, TippyBlue, and ShellieMay. His enemies include Pete, and the rest of the forces of evil that want to take over Disney parks and people's happiness.

Duffy has tan curly hair, he has brown eyes, and has Hidden Mickeys on his left hip, face, and paws. He also has a wide variety of outfits that he wears, with his most common being his sailor suit, which is white and blue, and has a red tie. He also wears a sailor hat that is white and blue with a red heart that reads Duffy.

*FUN FACT* Duffy is the bear of Happiness, Love, and Luck.

He has really grown on me over the years. I wasn't a big fan of his at the beginning because I didn't know much about him. But after reading the stories and knowing more about the storyline I have come to love this character. Hopefully we will be seeing Duffy in films and televisions shows in the near future.

Duffy the Disney Bear can be found in Disney parks all over the world as a meet and greet character, but he is definitely more popular in places like Tokyo and Hong Kong. He can be found in Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Candlelight Reflections, Be Magical, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, My Friend Duffy, Sweet Duffy, Christmas Wishes, and Disney Magic on Parade. I would expect you will be able to see him in Disney on Ice in the near future also.
