Iron Man

Tony Stark is Iron Man but he is also a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist. He was voted as one of the top five Marvel characters of all time, which is impressive seeing as Marvel has over 8,000 characters. He can be seen in movies such as 'Iron Man,' 'Iron Man 2,' 'Ultimate Avengers,' 'Ultimate Avengers 2: Rise of the Panther,' a cameo at the end of 'The Incredible Hulk,' 'The Invincible Iron Man,' 'Next Avengers: Heroes of Tomorrow,' 'Planet Hulk,' the 2012 blockbuster that is being released on Friday 'The Avengers,' and filming has started for 'Iron Man 3' which will hit theaters in 2013. In TV shows he can be seen in 'The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes,' 'Iron Man: Armored Adventures,' 'Ultimate Spider-Man,' 'The Super Hero Squad Show,' the 2010 'Iron Man,' 'Spider-Man,' 'The Incredible Hulk,' and the 1996 'Iron Man.'

*FUN FACT* In the comic books, Tony Stark becomes the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.

In video games he can be seen in Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Iron Man, The Punisher, Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes, The Incredible Hulk, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects, Marvel Super Hero Squad, X-Men Legends 2: Rise of Apocalypse, Marvel Super Hero Squad: The Infinity Gauntlet, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, Marvel Super Hero Squad Online, and Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. Finally he can be seen in other various merchandise such as books (comics and regular), toys, clothing, pins and other accessories.

Tony has only one known relative which is Morgan Stark, who is a cousin. Other than that the closest thing to family Tony has is Pepper Potts, his assistant turned CEO of Stark Industries. His other allies include Nick Fury, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Ant-Man, Black Widow, Spider-Man, Happy Hogan, James Rhodes, Captain America, Wasp, Hawkeye, Wolverine, Agent Hill, and Agent Coulson. His enemies include Loki, Iron Monger, Doctor Doom, Justin Hammer, and Whiplash. He has been affiliated with many groups over the years such as the Avengers, New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Illuminati, Force Works, Thunderbolts, West Coast Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Department of Defense.

Tony dresses very professionally. Tony has a chest repulsor transmitter, which keeps him alive. He was injured in a blast and that device keeps the shrapnel out of his heart. While as Iron Man he has had many different variations of armored suits over the years, but his most common is red/maroon and yellow/gold as seen in the photo below.

He was created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Larry Lieber, and Don Heck. He was played by Robert Downey, Jr. in the films. In the animated cartoons he has been played by Adrian Pasdar, Eric Loomis, Tom Kenny, Adrian Petriw, and Robert Hays.

*FUN FACT* Tony Stark has built over 40 types of armor over the years.

Iron Man cannot be found in any Disney theme parks at this point in time. Although there are rumors that Marvel characters will be spotted in Disney parks in the very near future, which is great news in my opinion.
