Who's Who? Wednesday

October 2, 2013

In honor of yesterday's release of 'The Little Mermaid' on blu-ray, this weeks article will be about the lovable little crab 'Sebastian.' In addition to 'The Little Mermaid,' he can also be found in 'Mickey's House of Villains,' 'The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea,' and 'The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning.' He also appears in the television shows 'The Little Mermaid,' 'House of Mouse,' 'Raw Toonage,' 'Little Mermaid's Island,' and 'Marsupilami.' In video games he can be found in The Little Mermaid, Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion, The Little Mermaid 2 Pinball Frenzy, Kinect Disneyland Adventures, Disney TH!NK Fast, Disney Princess Enchanting Storybooks, and the Kingdom Hearts series. In other merchandise he can be found in toys, books, games, clothing, Disney art, vinylmations, and pins.

He lives in Atlantica, and has many friends he can count on such as Scuttle, Ariel, Melody, King Triton, Urchin, Flounder, Prince Eric, and the rest of the good Disney characters. His enemies include Ursula, Evil Manta, Chef Louis, Flotsam, Marina Del Rey, Jetsam, Lobster Mobster and Da Shrimp, and the rest of the Disney villains.

Sebastian is a very tiny crab with a red body. He has a dark red shell and yellow eyes. He is extremely overprotective, is uptight even though he means well, but is loyal and is a great singer.

*FUN FACT* His full name is Horatio Thelonious Ignacious Crustaceous Sebastian.

He was animated by Duncan Marjoribanks. He has also been voiced by a few different people over the years such as Samuel E. Wright, Philip Lawrence, and Kevin Michael Richardson.

Sebastian can be found in Disney parks around the world in some form or another. He can be seen in SpectroMagic, Mickey and the Magical Map, Fantasmic!, World of Color, The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Sorcerer's of the Magic Kingdom, Mickey's Soundsational Parade, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, and Magic, Music, and Mayhem. He can also be found in the Broadway show 'The Little Mermaid,' on the Disney Cruise Line ships, and on various Disney on Ice shows.
